from Marc Hartzman: LOS ANGELES, Sept. 26 (AP) – Veteran circus folk mourned today the passing of Darius Abner Alden, 84 years old, a forty-two inch midget, who for forty years amused circus-goers with his humor and skill as a glass blower in side-shows. Funeral services will be held at his home here tomorrow. He was born in Medina County, Ohio, and was the last survivor of his family, the rest of whom were all of normal stature. (Date Unknown) |
